Congratulations to Buffalo's own Jeremy Jacobs and his team, the Boston Bruins, for winning the Stanley Cup!

What a season!  This morning, our staff was talking around the water cooler about how the whole season came down to one, game 7 in Vancouver.

You see, VIP Seats believes in the NHL!  We eat, breathe and sleep hockey! Our staff is very knowledgeable and passionate about the game.  You see we're from Buffalo, NY!  We're practically Canadian citizens over here.  As kids we watched CBC's 'Hockey Night In Canada' on Saturday nights in our living rooms. We play street hockey and in winter you will find an ice rink in one of your neighbor's backyards.   We pretend to rush the puck like Gilbert Perreualt, block shots like Jim Schoenfeld, fight like Rob Ray and make acrobatic saves like Dominic Hasek.

VIP Seats has made significant season ticket investments with several teams this past season including the NY Rangers, NJ Devils, Boston Bruins, Philadelphia Flyers, Buffalo Sabres, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers & Minnesota Wild.  We are negotiating with several other Clubs and our goal is to own season tickets in every NHL building.

In most professional sports, teams with the best records and teams in the largest markets command the highest average price per ticket in the secondary ticket market. The NHL does not follow this rule. In the NHL, the ticket prices in the secondary market seem to be primarily driven by latitude. For the most part the farther north an NHL team is located, the higher the ticket prices.

With the success of the NHL franchises founded in recent years, notably the reigning Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins, assumptions might be made that the ticket demand skews with on-ice success. However, after analyzing current sales data, VIP Seats has found that there is no substitute for tradition and fans still choose to pay the most money to watch the long-established franchises and key rivalries.

According to StubHub NHL's Most Heated Rivalries
